Iris Light was selected as one of twelve companies for the Fall 2023 Techstars Space Accelerator, a highly competitive, mentorship-driven program run in partnership with the U.S. Space Force and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The program brings together founders from around the world to develop technologies with potential impact for aerospace, defense, and adjacent sectors, including manufacturing and advanced computing.
Participation in this class connects Iris Light with a world-class network of mentors, investors, and aerospace industry leaders. The selection reflects the promise of Iris Light’s nanomaterial-enabled photonic inks, which can enable on-chip light sources and active opto-electronic components across multiple spectral windows — capabilities relevant to space communications, sensing, and systems integration.
Over the three-month accelerator, Iris Light engaged with program mentors and peers to refine its technology roadmap, explore aerospace Go-to-Market pathways, and prepare for Demo Day — where founders present to a community of investors and industry stakeholders.
Being part of Techstars Space underscores Iris Light’s growing momentum at the intersection of materials science, photonics, and aerospace innovation.
