Iris Light was honored to deliver an invited talk at IEEE RAPID, a leading conference focused on photonics technologies for defense applications. Our talk focused on Iris Light’s work on novel photonic inks designed for semiconductor manufacturing.
During the presentation, our team discussed how Iris Light’s nanomaterial-based approach enables both silicon photonics and printed electronics, providing a new pathway to create active opto-electronic components — including lasers, LEDs, and photodetectors — directly on silicon. The talk highlighted the relevance of scalable, manufacturable photonic materials for defense systems that demand performance, reliability, and deployment at scale.
We appreciated the opportunity to engage with the IEEE RAPID community and contribute to ongoing discussions around advancing photonics capabilities for defense and national security applications.
